1924 - Iolanthe

Musical Director: Mr. E. Brockenshire

Surviving local press reports lead to the conclusion that the society presented Iolanthe in 1924 in no less than three different venues and two towns! Firstly in April and again in the "holiday season". Performances were given in the Drill Hall, Lyme Regis (The Marine Theatre) and in Seaton. Unfortunately, none of the newspaper cuttings we have are dated and no programmes survive. There are some photos however, from the collection of Miss Sybil Foxwell, courtesy of Lyme Regis Museum, and these are reproduced here together with the various newspaper reports (abridged) from which we can learn the cast and orchestra.
